Veteran actor  Dilip Kumar will be conferred with honorary doctorate by Maulana Azad National Urdu University here next month. The doctorate ‘Honoris Causa D. Litt.’ will be conferred on Dilip Kumar on the occasion of the third convocation ceremony of MANUU to be held on February 21.

Dr. Abid Hussian, Prof. Gopichand Naranag and author Jeelani Bhano are the other eminent personalities who will be conferred with honorary doctorates.

The Urdu University was established in 1998 by an act of parliament as a central university to promote and develop the Urdu language, provide higher, technical and vocational education in the Urdu medium and to provide focus on women’s education.
